Google is more than just a search engine. Most people use it on a day-to-day basis without knowing that there are many funny Google tricks that even exists. Over the years of its existence, Google has released many tricks to test their technology and to entertain their users. Some are no longer working and the remaining ones which still work at present are listed in this post. However, these tricks apply only if you are using a Google Chrome Browser. So please keep that in mind whenever you try any of the tricks below.

Try these funny google tricks on your Google Chrome browser first, and then you can show off with your friends and colleagues.

1. Do a barrel roll

Let’s start with the do a barrel roll, which is one my favorite funny google tricks. If you google do a barrel roll, you will see the Google result page perform a 360 degree rotation just like a barrel roll. It also works on smartphones as well.

2. Askew

Open your Google Chrome browser and type the keyword ‘askew’ and you will see a tilted version of your result page. It is barely noticeable at first while you show it to your friends or colleagues, however it gets noticeable after a minute. By definition, askew means ‘not in a straight or level position’, for those who were wondering why the word askew. And yes, it also works on smartphones as well – I have tested it myself for you.

3. Recursion

This is not exactly what we can refer to as funny google tricks, but I wanted to add it in the list because it is worth being included. If you google ‘recursion’, you will see that Google will re-ask you if you meant the word ‘recursion’ even if you typed it right. Try clicking on the link here – recursion.

4. Google Gravity

As the name suggests, this fun google trick has got to do with the effect of Gravity. As you check the link url, you will see the whole of the search bar,menu icons and sign in button crumble to the bottom due to the effect of gravity. 5. Google Space

This is also one of Google Chrome experiments which is known as Google Space and has as effect all items within the browser to float around slowly just like in Space. For almost any events and occasions around the world, Google changes its logo accordingly to something really unique and nice. In life, there are many ups and downs, but when you are experiencing the difficulties in life and struggling to know the meaning to your existence and the answer to life, the universe and everything, you can ask Google and he will give you the answer. If you google ‘the answer to life the universe and everything‘, you get a straightforward answer ’42’, which is really specific to such a broad question.

10. You’ll never find Chuck Norris

If you search for Chuck Norris on Google, the latter knows that you wont find him and says,”Google won’t search for Chuck Norris because it knows you don’t find Chuck Norris, he finds you. 11. Goglogo

You want to show your partner on Valentine’s Day how much you love her, but you are a nerdy geek? Then there is a funny google trick which can help you out. Type the following code (sqrt(cos(x))*cos(200x)+sqrt(abs(x))-0.7)*(4-x*x)^0.01, sqrt(9-x^2), -sqrt(9-x^2) from -4.5 to 4.5 in google search bar and it will plot a wonderful graph in the form of a heart to send to your valentine. 13. Google Mirror

This is one of the coolest trick you will find on Google. It does exactly what the name says, that is, it mirrors the Google Search page along will all its components. In short , you get a mirror image of the Google Search page and just imagine, you also have the url in reverse. There are also some fun google tricks which most people are not aware and which are represented by games on the Google Chrome browser itself. I have listed them below for your convenience. Be sure to tr them out; they are really worth it.

14. Zerg Rush

Here you have got a really cool game if you google zerg rush on the google search bar. You get a series of G’s and O’s coming down and eating all the text on the screen, and you can kill them by aiming and clicking with your cursor before they get to the bottom just like in the game Space Invaders. If they manage to get to the bottom of the screen, the game is over and you even get a score which you can share with your friends. It’s a really cool and funny google trick, which I am sure you will surely try.

15. Tic Toe Tic

16. Pac-Man

A treasure-trove of fun Google tricks won’t be complete without mentioning Google’s Pac-Man doodle. On May 22, 2010, the 30th anniversary of the classic game, people around the world woke up to a search engine sporting an actually playable mini-version of Pac-Man. 17. Atari Breakout

This is one of the nicest google trick ever if you are a geek and fan of arcade games. You just to type “Atari Breakout” in the Google search bar first and secondly click on ‘Images’ tab and you will see a game of Arkanoid appear and you can start playing too. Click here to test it out.

18. Festivus

On typing the keyword ‘Festivus’ in the Google search bar yields as output results of its definition and also an aluminium Festivus pole on the left hand side.

Festivus is both a parody and a secular holiday celebrated on December 23 as an alternative to the pressures and commercialism of the Christmas season. The non-commercial holiday’s celebration, as depicted on Seinfeld, occurs on December 23 and includes a Festivus dinner, an unadorned aluminum Festivus pole, practices such as the “Airing of Grievances” and “Feats of Strength”, and the labeling of easily explainable events as “Festivus miracles”.
